India's Premier Footwear Institute Since 1957
The Central Footwear Training Institute, Chennai came into existence in July 1957 with Ford Foundation assistance. Modernised with UNDP support under the National Leather Development Programme, CFTI is fully equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.
An autonomous institution under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, our programs are accredited by Leicester College of Footwear, UK. We have trained over 2,03,757 candidates including 154+ international students.
